Carmen Montero – Spanish

Carmen Montero is a versatile Spanish actress who was born in Colmar (France). At the age of 5, she moved with her family to Granada, a beautiful city in the south of Spain, where she grew up and discovered her passion for acting. She took acting for camera classes and was cast in the TV Series Arrayan.

In 2004 Carmen Montero moved to Madrid to study Drama at Eduardo Recabarren School of Drama. In this chapter of her life she performed in popular TV series like Paco’s men and worked with directors like Antonio Hernandez in Captain Thunder or Rob Marshall in Pirates of the Caribbean, where she worked with Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz.

She has also performed in theatres around Spain with the play “Everyone wants to be Jackie Kennedy” and “Two Versions of Life” by Jasmina Reza in Madrid.

In 2011 she moved to Dublin (Ireland) where she wrote, produced and starred the black comedy short film,“Two Margaritas and One Daiquiri”, selected for the underground film festival 2013. She won the Best Actress award in the Attic Film Festival 2013 for the short film Distance Over and her short film “Halowin”, directed by Paco Torres, was selected for Lars Von Trier competition and for the Málaga Film Festival 2013.

In 2014 she moved to London to continue with her acting career and had the great opportunity to work in Sacha Baron Cohen’s movie Grimsby directed by Louis Leterrier.

In 2015 she played the role of Candela on the TV Series Seis hermanas & TVE1, as Mercedes Sanz on the new TV Centro médico TVE1 and as Judge Casado on the Tv serie Perdóname, Telecinco.

Carmen features in the current season of Killing Eve.
