Carolin Ott is a bilingual German actress and voiceover artist. In 2017 – after living abroad for 13 years (York, Madrid, London) – she made the decision to pack two suitcases and move back to her hometown Berlin, where she now works and lives with her family.
She studied at the renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, followed by postgraduate acting training at the Drama Studio London. After writing over 150 letters to get financial support from industry professionals, she got the green light from Jeremy Irons, Michael Frayn and Tom Stoppard who sponsored her studies.
Since graduating from Drama School in 2010 she has worked on stage and screen internationally. Her work includes collaborations with award winning theatre companies such as: Showcase Beat Le Mot (DE), Das Letzte Kleinod (DE), Theaterlabor Bielefeld (DE), Teatr A Part (PL), Frantic Assembly (UK), Panzerkreuzer Rotkäppchen (DE), Theatre Lab Company (UK/ GR), Plavo Pozorište (SRB), feedback theatre (UK) and Association Arsène (FR). Carolin believes that theatre is and can be for everyone and is particularly interested in socio-political subjects, ensemble work, contemporary literature and combining different mediums to create stories and ask questions.
On screen Carolin has worked for: Sony Pictures, ZDF, TLC, Flat Cap Films and many more. She can currently be seen as guest lead Christiane Johannsen in German TV series ‘Young Crime’ for ZDF.
Carolin has voiced over 300 projects for: the BBC, Goethe Institute, Vodafone, EasyJet, Audi, Nivea, Nike, HSBC, KPMG, Pure, Scholl – to name just a few.
