Cathal is an Irish actor from Kerry. He trained at the Bull Alley Theatre Training Company, Dublin, where he built a strong foundation in performance and stagecraft before moving into screen work. In addition to acting, he is also an accomplished singer and martial artist.
On screen, he has appeared in the hit German TV series Der Irland-Krimi (ARD), playing a complex, dark role opposite leading Irish and German actors. His credits also include War on Women (RTÉ), Titans That Built America (History Channel), Into the Badlands (AMC), and Vikings (History Channel). Most recently, he starred in the Irish-language short film Sí.
His background as a storyteller of Irish myth and folklore brings depth and authenticity to his work, especially in projects rooted in history, mythology, or psychological drama. He is particularly strong in military and detective roles and is highly skilled with accents.
