Jez Davess-Humphrey is an accomplished actor and director, hailing from South West London. He graduated with a first-class honours BA degree in Acting for Stage and Media from Kingston College (London College of Music – University of West London).
Most recently, Jez completed a highly successful 9-month tenure with the National Youth Theatre Rep Company, where he showcased his skills in three captivating shows. These included performances in “Much Ado About Nothing” at the Duke of York Theatre, “Gone too Far” at Royal Stratford East, and “Bakkhai” at NYT Holloway Road.
Jez is one of the co-founders of Eye Opening Productions. Through this theatre company, he has showcased his skills as a producer and director. In 2018, he spearheaded a London tour of the play “The Olympians,” which received critical acclaim during its run at esteemed venues such as the King’s Head Theatre and Tara Theatre. More recently, Jez directed Eye Opening Productions’ latest production, “Love (to) Bits,” which earned an OFFIE nomination and enjoyed a successful three-week run at the Barons Court Theatre in 2022.
Beyond his acting and directing pursuits, Jez finds joy and fulfillment in various physical activities. He has a passion for bouldering, calisthenics, street dance and water sports. These endeavors further enhance his creativity and physicality, adding depth to his performances on stage.
Finally he has found a new passion in facilitating theatre experiences for young people, particularly in educational shows. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those who are neurodivergent, he is determined to continue working in this area. As he is dyslexic himself.
