Joanna is a young, London based actor who has recently finished the final year of her acting degree at Drama St Mary’s, Twickenham,
During her time at university, she was trained in a wide range of acting disciplines including stage and screen productions through to voice overs, her tutors which included Katie Mitchell and Michael Attenborough, she believes, helped play a big part in her acting journey.
Her recent roles include ‘Ophelia’ in an adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ where her character played piano and sang an original song which she composed. She also played the role of a pregnant girl in the acclaimed TV series “Call The Midwife”.
Joanna has always had a theatrical background from an early age, performing in venues such as ‘The O2 Arena’ and ‘The Royal Albert Hall’, performances that combined the key elements of acting, singing and dancing.
Outside of acting, she could be considered somewhat of an adventurous person as she enjoys the thrills of activities such as: skiing, scuba diving, horse riding and skydiving.
One of Joanna’s future projects is to tour with an adapted version of a classical play alongside a group of her fellow graduates, performing in venues in different parts of the country including some fringe festivals in the summer of 2023.
