Julian is a London based Dutch-American actor, writer, and educator. As an actor, he recently appeared in The Inheritance (Geffen Playhouse), ALIEN/NATION (Williamstown Theatre Festival, dir. Michael Arden), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Classical Theatre of Harlem), and has helped develop new plays at the Vineyard Theatre, EST, and Rattlestick, among others. His first play, All I Ever Wanted (previously titled Ascension), had its inaugural reading at Huron Station Playhouse in Los Angeles in June of 2025, with further development at A.R.T. in New York City that Fall. He was recently interviewed about the project for the BBC World Service. Julian is adjunct faculty at Columbia University’s MFA Acting program, where he also graduated in 2022.
