Leila is a multilingual American actress who speaks fluent Spanish, French and Farsi (Persian), in addition to conversational Italian and Portuguese. She began training and performing at the age of five and has worked in theatre, film, television, commercials, radio, voiceover, corporate and print in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris and London.
Leila has studied at a number of prestigious schools, including; RADA, American Conservatory Theatre, Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute NY, Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (BFA, Drama) and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (MA, Writing).
Leila is well versed in both comedy and drama and specialises in accents. She holds a degree in Dance and danced professionally for many years. Additionally, Leila was a competitive boxer in NY, an experience which she applied to her most recent leading role as professional boxer, Kat ‘Thunder’ Wilkinson in the London based film, Thunder Under Control.
Leila is known for writing and performing her multi-character comic one woman show at the Upright Citizens Brigade in LA and at the NY International Fringe Festival, in addition to being a lead performer/writer in CBS’s Multicultural Comedy Showcase, and playing strong female leads in the internationally acclaimed short films; Gratitude, Thunder Under Control and The Boxer and her Trainer.
