Murray grew up in the small fishing town of Stonehaven, Scotland. It was here that he got his first acting job at the age of eight playing a prehistoric cave boy in a history film. This made a lasting impression as when he Moved to Sussex in 1999 he studied ancient history and archaeology, nearly failing as he spent most of his time performing and helping in the College’s drama departments.
Realising his true calling (after a dance floor incident in which he had broken his leg) Murray attended the Academy of Creative Training Brighton, graduating in 2009 with distinction. Since when he has continued to work solidly touring Europe with Philip Ayckbourn’s ‘Quorum theatre Company’ & ‘PCK Theatre Company’, various independent films followed, commercials and several computer games.
