Russell Parsi is an Iranian Actor and Voice Artist.
He was born in Shiraz, Iran. After finishing High School, he studied Basic Acting at (The Ministry of Culture and Art) drama classes and then with several private drama coaches, he joined the Iranian Cinema and began his acting career. This resulted in his participation in a commercial and six feature films. He left Iran in 1984, during the Iranian Islamic Revolution, to escape the censorship and the political climate and moved to Denmark, where he lived for fifteen years and performed in plays and films and became a Danish citizen.
He moved to London in 1998, where he joined British Actors Guild “Equity”, “The Spotlight” and “The Actors Centre” where he has taken part in various drama courses. Since living in the UK, he has worked on several theatrical projects, a film, a TV Series, a few short films, and two Radio dramas in Europe and the USA; all directed by distinguished directors. He joined the BBC Persian Television in April 2009 as a “Voice Artist” and “Script Editor” and he has worked on hundreds of documentaries and dramas as a “Narrator” and “Dubbing Artist” for BBC Persian as well as other Persian Television Networks in the past 13 years.
Russell is a multilingual Actor, fluent in Farsi, English, Danish and Turkish.
