Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Serena is an American Actress with a Bachelor of Science in Theater and a minor in Film and Media Studies. She moved across the pond in 2021 to attend The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. When ALRA shut down unexpectedly in April of 2022, it was a massive shock to everyone who studied and worked there. Although it was a setback, Serena and her peers were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to continue their education at Rose Bruford College, and she recently graduated with her Masters in Acting. Serena has been passionate about acting since she was a child, and believes the arts aren’t just entertainment, but can be a source for positive change.
Serena is a well rounded artist who has experience and training in all different genres across stage and screen. Some of her favorite theater roles include Theresa Havers in The Ballad of Maria Marten, Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods, Celia Cain in Her Naked Skin, and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing. On screen she has performed as a principal actress in several short films, industrials, educational products, and national commercials in New York and Boston for companies such as Meineke Car Care, Cengage Learning, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She recently delved into the world of voiceover, and has narrated several audiobooks which can be found on Audible.
Aside from acting, Serena enjoys filmmaking and singing. Her first short film, Kaleidoscope, which she wrote, directed, filmed, and produced, was a finalist in The 15 Minutes Max Film Festival in New York in 2017. She worked professionally behind the scenes in tv and film in New York City, editing and assistant producing for many projects. Serena also performed as a backup-singer for the children’s band SteveSongs when she was only 10 years old, appearing on national radio programs such as Kids Place Live, and touring with the band throughout the Northeast. She went on to tour abroad with a classical choir, become president of her a capella group, and sing in many musical theater productions. Serena deeply appreciates these opportunities to grow as both a performer and individual.
